As part of our ongoing partnership with the CCS. ALS StrongPoint have several community initiatives in 2022.
In April 2022, ALS StrongPoint completed works on a baseball field for the Birmingham Baseball team – the Metalheads, which included works to the bases and installation of a new backstop to protect the teams and spectators.
Gareth Thomas, a player for the team said the following. “Thank you to ALS StrongPoint for supporting us with our facilities, as one of the oldest baseball teams in the country, we needed to upgrade our facilities to allow us to grow the sport locally and beyond.”
The Metalheads can date their origins back to WW2, where Canadian Airmen who were recovering at Marston Green hospital, marked out a field and began playing amongst themselves. Now the team plays at the highest level in the UK, and has enjoyed a strong start to the 2022 season.
We have also recently entered a partnership with St Annes Primary School in Bewdley and will be conducting several improvements for the school over the summer holidays.
